Մի աղքատ մարդ ու կնիկ են լինում, ունենում են երեք աղջիկ։

Once upon a time there lived a poor man and a poor women. They haved three dauther.

Մի օր հերը աշխատելիս է լինում, ծարավում է, մեծ աղջկանը ջուրն է ղրկում։ Էս աղջիկը կուժն առնում է գնում աղբյուրը։ Աղբրի գլխին մի բարձր ծառ է լինում։ Էս ծառը որ տեսնում է՝ իրեն-իրեն միտք է անում.

One day the father had been working, he had thirst, he sent to bring a water his major dauther. The dauther took the pitcher and went to the spring(source). There were a high tree in the top of spring. When she saw the tree she began thinking herself.

— Հիմի որ ես մարդի գնամ ու մի որդի ունենամ, անունն էլ դնենք Կիկոս. Կիկոսը գա էս ծառին բարձրանա ու վեր ընկնի, քարովը դիպչի մեռնի…

Մերն սպասում է, սպասում, տեսնում է չեկան, պստիկ աղջկանն է ղրկում։ Ասում է.

— Աղջի՛, մի գնա տես քույրերդ ի՞նչ եղան։ Գնացին, ետ չեկան։

Mother wait and wait, saw that dauthers didn’t come, sent her junior  dauther and said

-Go and see why your sisters had late. They went and didn’t come back

Հիմի պստիկ աղջիկն է գնում։ Գնում է տեսնում՝ երկու քույրերն էլ աղբրի գլխին նստած լաց են լինում։

Junior sister goes. She goes and see that her two sisters was siting the top of spring and was crying

Մարդը տեսնում է՝ կնիկն էլ գնաց աղջիկների ետևից ու սա էլ չեկավ։ Ասում է՝ մի գնամ տեսնեմ էս ինչ պատահեց, որ սրանք իրար ետևից գնացին մնացին աղբրումը։

The husband saw that his wife went and didn’t come back. He think. I must go and see what happened with them, that they wend and stayed at the sring

The father is intelligent and say

-You are foolish, why are you siting here and crying. No matter how you cry Kikos don’t stir. Let’s go our home invite peoples do liturgy, what we can do with crying. It’s World-class, just as it is, so it must go.
