Christians believe that Jesus Christ – the son of God, died for their sins and returned to life three days later to fight death and evil.

Christians celebrate Easter-the resurrection of Jesus Christ, two days after Good Friday- the day ։What hof the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. People go to church, lent 40 days before Easter, paint eggs, children play egg- fight.

We celebrate Easter to thank Jesus for his sacrifice.

Armenian Easter traditions are unique. Armenian women bake a cake with white flavoring, which symbolizes purity, boil and paint eggs especially in red color, which symbolizes the color of Jesus’ blood. They also make fried fish, herbs of different kinds, rice with raisins (dried grapes) and dried fruit.

Easter Sunday in Armenia is really amazing.
